Content Browser
The second section is the Content Browser. This is where you can add and edit content within the system.

Using the Content Browser
Data within the CMS is arranged in to data blocks. These data blocks can contain content and/or have more data block grouped under them. Data blocks are usually grouped under headings that represent sections of your website or CMS modules that we have added to your website. E.G.

| News | This contains all the news stories for our news module. News stories can include sub-blocks for additional audio, video, photos and pdf files. |

| Blog | This section contains blog entriesused by our standard blogs module |
| Homepage | This block is the content for the homepage. Unlike most blocks which contains sub blocks that you double click to view you single click this block and choose Edit Block. |
| Pages | This block will contain general pages from a website |
In addition to the above common top level blocks we may also add additional blocks for the different sections of your website that contain CMS editable pages. Blocks within these sections are define by pre-defined templates. When you edit a block you are presented with the block editor, click here for more details.
Navigating blocks
- You navigate blocks by simply double clicking a block (5) to see the blocks underneath
- The templates list will change to show the templates (1) that can be added to the current level
- To move back though the levels use the history path above the list of blocks (3)
Adding a template
- Data is organised using template blocks. To add a new template block first navigate to the correct block level (5). E.G. For News Double Click News
- Once you are at the correct level the list of templates will show you which templates can be added (1). To add a template just click the name of the template, if you wish to edit the block immediately the ensure that option is ticked before clicking the template name.
- Once you have input the data chose write to save these changes.
- The new block will now be added to the list (5).
Editing a Block
- Navigate through the blocks until you see the block that you wish to edit.
- Single Click the block so that it is highlighted yellow
- Now choose Edit Block
Removing a Block
- Navigate through the blocks until you see the block that you wish to remove.
- Single Click the block so that it is highlighted yellow
- Now choose Remove Block
Warning
If you are removing a block ensure that you select the correct block. The remove block will remove that block and any blocks in sub-levels.
Sorting a Block
- You can move blocks up and down by clicking on them and chose either move up or move down (6). This will change the output order unless the output templates use some form of sorting such as date order.
- The content browser can sort the blocks temporarily while you are looking at the. Just click the sort button at the top of each column (4).
