Setting up MS Outlook 2002/2003
The first time you start Outlook, a setup wizard should open up to help you set up this email program to access your Gatorlink email services.
If it does not start, select the Tools menu and the Email Accounts option.

- If you need to Add a new account, click on the Add a new email account button and then click Next.

- Choose POP3 and then the “Next” button again..

- Enter the following email settings:
- Your Name: type your real name
- Email Address: type your email address
- Incoming mail server (POP3): your website address
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): your ISP's SMTP mail server address
- Username: type your username
- Password: type your password
- Click Remember Password, if desired. Then click the Finish button.

- If your SMTP mail server requries special settings then click More Settings and choose the Out Going Server Tab. Now make the setting changes required by your SMTP provider.

- If you wish to keep a copy of mail on the server for a short period of time then click the advanced tab. Choose leave a copy of messages on the server and the choose the duration. Do not set this to long as you will fill your mailbox.

- Click the Finish button to complete the process.
Or... if you have already started to setup the account and wish to make corrections, choose the View or change existing email accounts button and then click Next.
- Select the email account you wish to edit and then click the Change, otherwise click the Finish button.
- If you choose to edit the account, enter these email settings now:
- Your Name: type your real name
- Email Address: type your email address
- Incoming mail server (POP3): your website address
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): your ISP's SMTP mail server address
- Username: type your username
- Password: type your password
- Click Remember Password, if desired. Then click the Finish button.
- Click the Finish button to save the changes.
