This is usually an indication that the SMTP server that you have set is not able to relay mail from the ISP account you are dialed in via. Check that the SMTP mail server is set in your mail client to that of your ISP.

Enable to send Mail or SMTP error
There are many different errors that can cause this type of error. Without a specific error message it is difficult to diagnose the exact cause. Below are some of the common issues.

  1. FIrst check you have a working internet connection, restart your computer and internet router.
  2. Check what your SMTP server is set to. This can be either your ISP's server or the server for your domain. If you are using your ISP's server but are not currently connecting via that ISP then this is the likely problem and you need to change the SMTP to your domains SMTP or the server of the ISP you are currently connected to.
  3. If you are using your ISP's server and there is no error message and you have restarted your computer and internet connection then your ISP is likely having a temporary problem with their server. You can try switching to your domains SMTP server. Please not that some ISP's block you from using other SMTP servers as a way of managing spam. If this is the case with your ISP then you will need to continue to use their SMTP server.
  4. If you are using your domain as your SMTP then check that your username and password are correct. Also check that the SMTP authentication is correct. Finally check www.3Legs-Status.com to see if we are reporting any problems with our servers.

If you still have problems then please contact us with as much detail as possible including error messages. Without an error message it is impossible for us to remote diagnose a problem.

  2. The destination e-mail server is unavailable for a long period of time
  3. The destination e-mail account is full
  4. The size of your e-mail is bigger than the maximum size allowed by the destination mail server
