Using Serif Web Plus with our servers

  1. On the Standard toolbar, click Publish to Web.
  2. To set up a manual FTP account for the first time, using account details given by your own Internet Service Provider, click No Thanks in theWebPlus.net Web Hosting dialog.

When publishing to the Web (or uploading it manually using FTP software) you’ll need to provide the following information, most of which you can obtain from your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or Web host:

FTP address: The URL (path), similar to a Web address, that locates the Internet-based server that will store your files. · This will start with ‘ftp://’ and is supplied by your service provider.
Port number: Unless directed by your provider, leave the Port number set at 21. This is the default port used by most FTP servers for file transfer.
Folder: Allows you to upload sites to sub-folders of your main website's address. Enter the remote directory details that we provided
Username: Specified by your ISP or Web host (and is often case-sensitive).
Password: As for Username, this is normally the same information required for ISP and is case-sensitive.
Passive Mode: Leave checked (by default) unless you experience upload problems.
Website URL: The URL of your website—this is the ‘address’ where your site resides on the Web.
