Move a product

In order to move a product to a new category you first need to create a special category. If you do not wish the given category or sub categories to be accessible the put a "_" at the beginning of the category name.

Create a new category.

1. Go to the product tree page within the Retailer Control Panel.

   

2. Go to the Product Catalogue category at the top of the product tree
   
3. Choose New Category from the pop-up menu.

   
   

4. Choose a name for the new category, if your product catalogue template uses an image then choose the image from the drop-down menu then click commit. (Note use a "_"at the beginning of the name means that this category will not be displayed in the product catalogue.

   

5. Click OK to action this change.

Move a product.

1. Locate the product you wish to move.
   

2. Choose move product from the pop-up menu.

   

3. Choose the category you wish to move to in the pop-up window.

   

4. Once you have moved all the products you wish to move, Enterprise user will need to export their product catalogue.
   
5. Click OK to action this change.

Alternatively you can move a whole category.

1. Locate the category you wish to move.
   

2. Choose move category from the pop-up menu.

3. Choose the category you wish to move to in the pop-up window.

   

4. Once you have moved all the categories you wish to move, Enterprise user will need to export their product catalogue.

Please Note
Changes to existing products or moving of categories will not appear on your website until you export the product catalogue.
