Remove a product

To remove a product from your product catalogue you have two options.

Temporary Removal
If you only wish to remove the product temporarily and may use it again then create a new category "_old_products". You can now move any unused products into this category. The products will remain within the system but will not be included within your product catalogue on your website. Any category with a "_" is not included within your catalogue export. Once you have moved all the products you wish to move, Enterprise user will need to export their product catalogue.

Permanent Removal
If you wish to permanently remove a product then follow the instructions below. Remember once you delete a product it is gone. If think you will need the product again in the future then use the above method.

  1. To delete a product simple go to the product tree page within the Retailer Control Panel.


  2. Locate the product you wish to delete

  3. When you move the mouse pointer over the product a pop-up menu appears. Choose Delete Product from this menu.


  4. You will now see a popup window asking you to confirm that you wish to delete the product.

  5. Once you have deleted all the products you wish to delete, Enterprise user will need to export their product catalogue.

Once you delete a product it can no longer be used. If you simply wish to make a product unavailable the you can move it to a different category.

Please Note
Changes to existing products or removals will not appear on your website until you export the product catalogue.
