Block Fields

Field Detail
Name This is the name of the event and it is displayed in a H1 tag at the top of the page.
Time This is the time of the event
Image This is the main image to represent this event
Caption This this the caption for the main image
Link If the event should link to another web page then enter its URL here
Start Date This is the date the event starts
End Date This is the date the event ends
Hidden This will hide the event from being displayed on the website
Location This is the location for the event
Story This is the main HTML area of the page.

 

Adding a new event

Events must have a start and end date. If the event is only for a single day, then make sure the start and end dates are the same.

  1. To add a new photo first upload the files in to the corresponding folder in Files.
  2. Next go to Edit.
  3. Click Add next to Events.
  4. From the list of templates, select the Event option.
  5. A new item is added.
  6. Complete the details on the right and then click Save Data.
  7. Repeat this process for each event to be added.
  8. Once finished, you are ready to Publish the changes to the website.

Deleting an event

  1. Go to the Edit screen. Expand Events.
  2. You should now see a list of events.
  3. Locate the event to be deleted. Click Delete next to this item.
  4. Repeat this process to each event to be removed.
  5. Once finished, you are ready to Publish the changes to the website.

Editing an event

  1. Expand Events.
  2. You should now see a list of events.
  3. Locate the event to be edited and single-click it.
  4. Make the changes and click Save Data..
  5. Repeat this process for each event to be edited.
  6. Once finished, you are ready to Publish the changes to the website.
