Preparing your Content

To help us create your website to meet your schedule, we ask that all the content for the website be supplied as soon as possible.

Design Customisation

All our website packages come with a custom web design. Our designers will use the logo, photos, colour scheme and page content provided to produce a single design proposal. In order to do this, we need the following files and information. Contact us if you need further clarification in respect of any of the items listed:

  • A copy of your logo in an electronic format (ideally in a vector format or a transparent PNG)
  • A selection of photos to customise the design
  • The required colour scheme
  • A list of the names of the web pages you want on the website

Page Content

For each page on the website, you need to supply the text and any photos/images for that page. We recommend you create a text document for each page on the website and include the name of the page and the text for that page within the document. At the end of the document you should list the photos/images to be used on that page - please include the filename and any caption required. The photos/images to be used should not be inserted into the text document but supplied separately.

Images

You need to ensure that any images you supply are of suitable quality for us to use. Images taken from a web page or Facebook are generally not high enough quality. Please ensure that all photos are in JPEG format, are at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge, and are in the correct orientation in which they are to be used.

Sending Your Content

There are different ways you can send us the content.

USB Drive

This is the simplest way to send content. Simply copy the text documents and images on to your USB drive and either drop it in or post it to us. Please ensure that the contents of the page are organised and clearly labelled so that we can identify which page the text and photos are for.

E-Mail

Depending on the size of the files you may be able to email them to us, but large files may require other methods such as those listed below under ‘File Sharing’, or a USB drive as mentioned above. You should send all emails to support@3legs.com. You must ensure that you send any files as attachments to the mail and not within the body of the email. If you are unsure how to do this, check the help files for your email applications to find out how to attach files correctly or contact us for assistance. Please remember to show clearly which website and which page the content is for.

File Sharing

For sharing large images or many files then we recommend the use of one of the following file sharing services:

  • Microsoft OneDrive
  • Google Drive
  • Dropbox
  • WeTransfer
  • iCloud or Apple MailDrop

With OneDrive, Google Drive and Dropbox you can upload files into a folder and then share that folder with us. Share files/folders with support@3legs.com. Please ensure that the contents are organised so that we can identify which page the text and photos are for.

WeTransfer is a simple to use service that is FREE to send files up to 2Gb. Simply go to www.wetransfer.com and upload your files and share them with support@3legs.com. Please ensure that files are organised so that we can identify which page the text and photos are for.

Apple iCloud allows you to upload files and share them. Unfortunately, iCloud only allows you to share files one at a time. To share multiple files, use Apple MailDrop. Send or share files to support@3legs.com. Please ensure that files are organised so that we can identify which page the text and photos are for.

Please note
All photos should be sent as individual files and not embedded with a text document. Please ensure that all photos are bigger than 1500 pixels along the longest edge. You should also ensure that we can identify which text and image files go with which page. Consider either renaming files or organising them into folders/separate emails with the name of the page they are for.
